Where did the summer go?
This summer was not typical. There was no long...no hot...no humid. I might actually miss it this year!

Heade
I had the pleasure of visiting yesterday for the last time inside the Corcoran, this petite Heade painting View of a Marshfield, it is so lovely.
Go to http://www.nga.gov/content/ngaweb/Collection/artist-info.1381.html?artobj_artistId=1381&pageNumber=1 for a little lesson on Heade!

Italian for my girlfriend!
There is a lovely blog Italian for my Girlfriend that i have been enjoying and wanted to share. Roseangela keeps a sketch book of illustrated Italian words to help teach her girlfriend her native language. The illustrations are so darling and capture the subject so well, its just wonderful! Grazie mille Roseangela!
Some of her sketches have been used on product and are being sold, follow this link to find out how to purchase them ...http://italianformygirlfriend.tumblr.com/store

300
In this second photo you can see out to Lorenzo's playground. Lately he's not been much of a mouser but cicadas and crickets ain't got nothin on him.
One is better than none!
We have a nice area of the yard set aside for a garden next spring. There was a lot of weeding and tilling happening out there by farmer Dan to prepare the area.
We did manage to plant cucumbers and pumpkins. I am so proud of this...
Our pumpkin vine looks fabulous and has blooms on it but I don't think we're going to have pumpkins for Halloween maybe if if the weather stays mild we will have one for Thanksgiving! Dan says he wants to eat off our land - I remind him we won't survive a zombie apocalypse on 1 cuke!
So this is us now, happy homeowners working hard on 300 and enjoying the last little bit of summer!
