Some time ago my Mom gave me the two volume set of Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I have enjoyed thumbing through the books and marking the dishes I feel I must conquer. The first dish from the classic was but of course crepes. Over the last three days I have been collecting the ingrediants for coq au vin and Daniel has been waiting patiently for the taste test! I started with a whole chicken and other fresh components, the end result was fabulous. Thank you Julia Child for educating this American cook!
