Mommie's Birthday

Mom's birthday was October 3rd and we had a great time celebrating.
It is fabulous when a party day is on a Friday that way the good time just keeps going through the weekend!

We spent the day together and in the evening Dan and I took her to a favorite Italian restaurant of ours; Gerranio! We ordered everything from soup to nuts...well we ordered every course and it was so much better than soup and nuts! I highly recommend Gerranio; we have had Christmas Eve dinner there and it is becoming a new tradition for us since right after the birthday dinner we made the Christmas Eve reservation!

On Saturday we drove down to Richmond for a visit with Aunt Marijane and Uncle Babe. When we arrived Aunt Marijane had a very nice lunch prepared. As always it was delicious! Nicole was able to join us as well!

After lunch Nicole took us to see her condo and meet her kitty's. She has four! After we went for a drive to a pumpkin patch. I picked out 3 little pumpkins. They are so sweet and the perfect size for our apartment!
In the evening we headed over to Jason's place and had drinks on the rook of his building watching the sun go down before dinner. Uncle Babe and Aunt Marijane treated us to a delicious meal in Richmond. With our bellies full and a busy day gone by we returned home for a very good nights sleep!

On Sunday we went to Carytown. It was a gorgeous day so we walked the stretch enjoying the boutique style shops including very high end, vintage, thrift and even an organic produce bus!

We stopped for some delicious pumpkin ice cream. Mom found a "Cruella de Ville" coat at one
of my favorite thrift stores in Carytown. It is a 3/4 length swing coat with a high collar but the best part is it is wooly curly lambs fur and the coat is from Greece!
We ended the day at Nacho Mamas for margaritas and snacks.

What a wonderful weekend with family! We headed home around 6pm and realized we live so close!! We should see each other more often we are practically neighbors!
