My boy---and toys!

I do wish my Lorenzo boy would like a fancier toy but it is as I always say he is slumming it...really he only goes for used cardboard boxes, bags and other sorts of remnants.  Oh abd my burlap hassock!!
If he was more sophisticated I would buy him this...

Colonial Williamsburg in Bloom

Colonial Williamsburg in bloom!  I love the looks of Spring, its so beautiful to see everything bright and new though it makes my head feel awful!

Muscarelle Museum of Art

We had a nice day yesterday at the Muscarelle Museum of Art
There are two exhibitions ending today Michelangelo: Sacred and ProfaneMasterpieces from the Casa Buonarroti and A Brush with Passion: Mattia Preti (1613-1699)
Paintings from North American Collections in Honor of the 400th Anniversary of His Birth.
It was well worth the drive to the College of William & Mary.
We started the weekend off with a Friday evening lecture at the Italian Embassy given by the Distinguished Scholar at the Muscarelle Art Museum John T Spike .  He was an extraordinary speaker who managed to keep a room full of guests on the edge of their seats listening intently to historical chit chat!  The Embassy is celebrating, Year of Italian Culture in the USA, 2013, with many special events all across the country.

New neighbors

Ye

We have new neighbors, I might have liked these young whipper snappers if I was invited to their party or maybe 10 years younger!  Right now we are not friends....it's 2 am and I hear their entire "convo" about breakdancing!  Yes folks I will be vacuuming at 7 am tomorrow for at least an hour!  Dang hipsters...

Happy Easter!

We hope you all had a very Happy Easter!  While it was a cold, dreary and rainy day it was brightened with friends for Easter Brunch!  Mom pulled together yet again all of our wonderful Italian Easter traditions.  Proscuitto pie, our traditional Easter bread made with anise, ricotta cheesecake and much more!
